Our Journey
Our Beginning
Our family story truly begins many years ago. Some might say it began with two lives running parallel in very opposing lifestyles, not even knowing one another. These lives eventually coming together as God intended. A simple wedding and a powerful promise. An adventurous beginning with an emotionally tumultuous preface. We needed a helper early on in our marriage, along with our Savior. We did not know the strength of religion dominating our lives.
Then redemption, some revelation, and a definite start to renewal. It was a God ordained appointment with a mighty man of God. Gordon Williams – evangelist, and Preacher – became not only our Pastor, but friend and brother. A fresh start through the Baptism of the Holy Spirit! Then, one by one, blessing after blessing, our children delivered into our lives.
One by one, each of our children receiving Jesus as their Savior and the Holy Spirit as their Helper at very young ages. Two lives becomes six, over six years. Simple but miraculous seeds growing, developing, maturing with love, support, prayers, and fellowship. Precious relationships grow in our beautiful home churches and town. Opportunity to overflow into other’s lives, flourishes. Our home church grows and strengthens in the Holy Spirit.
And then, 2020…
Concern. Confusion. Control. It all quickly begins to grow into questioning, searching, researching, learning, speaking, teaching, preaching, and receiving…
…TRUTH that opens our blinded eyes, brings freedom through the Spirit, creates boldness in our thinking, manifests healing in our bodies, stirs the word within our hearts, and begins the next part of our faith journey.
The Faith Journey Continues
Things just begin to settle from chaos in our country. In March 2023, the Holy Spirit leads us to take a trip to help our oldest son potentially see himself at a very special school in his future after graduation. How do we get there? How many kms? We quickly buy an RV through faith. Seven days to leave and we purchase a home on wheels not knowing that our plan to use this as a summer rental for income becomes an actual future home. We go three days and 2,500 km through the tail end of winter and arrive at Charis Bible College, Woodland Park Colorado. We have no idea what the Lord is about to lay on our hearts. Touring the campus, meeting the teachers, future students, past students, current students and those in our shoes…we are speechless. Our son decides, “this is where I am going to school and I am coming this fall”. Yes, we say, yes!
But then…the Holy Spirit makes it very clear to Jaime, “this is where you need to be, this is your ‘place called there’, this is what I have been leading you to”.
“But LORD! We have family and friends and a house church to lead. I have a business with families depending on me. I have three other children and need to homeschool them, and…and…and…Adam! There is NO WAY I am going to convince Him….
…Lord, if you want me to step forward, I will.”
