Day Two – Michigan City to Junction City

We woke up to snow.  About two inches of snow. 🫤

Did you see the photos from yesterday?  We were playing in sand.  On the dunes.  Near the lake.  🤔

We woke up at 3:30 and stumbled around trying to get ourselves prepared for the longest stretch.  Ten hours is this next portion of our journey, with out stopping.

Our first chance to see some prairie like land.  Less snow!  Whoohooo!

We decided to stop in Springfield Illinois to stretch our legs and walk through the Abraham Lincoln Museum.

This was probably my favourite scene.  Abe’s boys goofing off while he is on the couch reading the paper at his law office.

Some of the photos are out of order.  Oh, well!  Doing the best we can on the phone while driving.

Adam wants ya’ll to know that we have driven about 1073km (667 miles) today. 😳😮‍💨🤪😄.  Thank you Jesus for this motor home!  We have crossed Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, and now we are in Kansas!

Oh, funny thing…while we were in Springfield a couple of people asked where we were from, before even really chatting with us.  Apparently my boots gave us away!  😂 No one was wearing winter boots.  The high today was 4 degrees Celsius.  No snow.  Chilly.  I was glad for my winter boots but I guess I was obviously Canadian. 😆🍁

Good Night, Eh. 😉
